Liu Fei worked as a host and program director in the radio and television industry in Tianjin, China from 1986 to 1996. She immigrated to Australia in 1996. From 2001 to 2021, she was the host and program director of 3CW Chinese Radio in Australia. She has hosted various programs such as news, special topics, literature, and art, and served as the host of many large-scale variety shows and live broadcast program anchors. Her programs have been highly praised by industry insiders time and time again. In 2011, Liu Fei was a recipient for Victoria’s Multicultural Awards for Excellence for an outstanding effort of Service Delivery to Multicultural Victoria (Media).
Liu Fei has also played different roles in many drama performances with Australian One Tree Theatre and the Melbourne Star Film and Drama Club; both of which has been recognized by experts and loved by audiences. Additionally, she has won numerous awards in various large-scale recitation activities and has also been invited as a judge. She has been cordially invited as a special guest to perform at China’s famous CCTV Aihua Poetry Spring Festival Gala and the Azi Recitation Art Troupe.
In 2021, she founded ‘Come Chat with Faye’ – a Chinese video program focusing on life of local Chinese citizens in Australia. This program was highly adored and appreciated by Chinese-Australian audiences after it was launched on YouTube, its first social media platform. Her video program bases its talking themes on several popular topics such as local current affairs, lifestyle, cultures, and finance.
Her program serves as a platform that tells extraordinary life stories from the seemingly ordinary lives of ordinary people. Liu Fei is a well-known host among the Chinese-Australian community.
