Jia Ping Li is the doctoral photographer of “People’s Photography”, the editor of “Seven Photography”, photographer and videographer of “Melbourne South Vision” and producer of “Ausina Film Media”.
She has been working in photography and videography in the past 30 years.
In June 2012, she visited Kekexili (Hoh Xil), the isolated region of the north-eastern region of unreached land in the Tibet Plateau, working with the mainstream media “Tianjin Daily” producing the documentary video “The journey to protect the environment of Tibetan antelope”.
In August 2013, she worked as part of the special reporter group of Tianjin Tonight News in the project called “walking through the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal”. The project involved reporting in great details on the buildings, tombs, rammed ditches, villages, temples, folk customs and dialects, opera and culture on both sides of the canal,archaeological excavation and antique collection of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal over the 2500 years of history and civilization. The project produced more than 20 documentary articles of concern on both sides of the canal caused strong response and publicity, the newspapers, websites of the 10 cities along the Great Canal had all republished the reports, CCTV, Tianjin TV, People’s Network, Sohu.com and other national media also reproduced the articles. It contributed to the successful listing of “Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal” in the World Heritage List.
After moving to Australia, she produced the documentary video of the 2015 Melbourne Spring Festival Gala hosted by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China and the Consulate General of Melbourne.
In October 2018, she participated in the production by Australian Channel 7 documentary “200 years of Chinese in Australia,”.
In 2018 and 2019 she produced for CCTV and CCTV4 the video program of “Melbourne overseas Chinese New Year celebration with the people of the motherland”. And she produced for the Melbourne Federation of Chinese Overseas Chinese the filming of “China Year” large-scale celebration, with the presence of Australian Prime Minister Morrison, Melbourne City Mayor Sally Capp and people of all ethnic groups in the warm atmosphere of the Chinese New Year, documented the harmonious friendship of the people of the world and the fusion of Chinese and Western cultures.

移居澳洲后,接拍了2015年由中华人民共和国国务院侨务办公室、墨尔本总领事馆主办的“文化中国,四海同春”墨尔本春节晚会;2018年10月跟随澳大利亚七号台拍摄纪录片 《华人在澳200年》 2018、2019连续两年新春为央视CCTV 4台拍摄墨尔本海外侨胞向祖国人民拜年的视频节目;2018与2019受墨尔本华人华侨联合会邀请,全程拍摄“中国年”的大型庆祝活动,用手中的镜头记录下了澳大利亚总理莫里森、市长Sally Capp及各族人民置身于中国年的热烈气氛之中,定格下了世界人民的友谊及中西文化的融合…
