Pisen Hong

Born in Shanghai, China 1944. Migrated to Melbourne, Australia in 1988. Well known artist and educator.

 
With a renowned cultural family background, Pisen learned literature, history, philosophy, and Western arts as well as Chinese traditional painting and calligraphy. He graduated from Eastern Normal University, Central Academy of Arts and Design in China; Melbourne College of Decoration, Monash University and La Trobe University
MA in Australia.

In China, Pisen taught at Suzhou College of Arts & Design as a lecturer, was Deputy Dean for Board of Study, Chief Librarian and Deputy Director for Administration. He achieved number one in the art/design teachers section in National Selection Test for studying abroad in1987.  He came to Melbourne for Australian-Sino educational co-operation Program in 1988. He lectured on Chinese culture, art/design at Melbourne College of Decoration, Swinburne University and the Kilmore International School for over thirty years.
  
In January 1991, The Age Newspaper had a special report on him entitled An Artist’s Perspective Adds Design; SBS TV had a special report on him entitled East meets West.   


Pisen has held 12 Solo Exhibition and participated in over a hundred joint exhibitions.  
His main focus is exploring East Meets West and how the Chinese arts can benefit the Australian arts and vice-versa.  He had numerous thesis on arts, etc. published in China, Australia, Europe and America. He has attended international conferences and held multiple art lectures and workshops.

Pisen’s art works and thesis were awarded more than ten times, and his art works have been collected by public gallery/museums and private sectors.  His name was listed in the “Australian Asian Who’s Who”.  He has also been appointed visiting professor/research fellow by many institutions. The Kilmore International School has set-up “the Pisen Hong Art Award”.  Pisen Hong was the first Chinese Artist honoured as “Signatory Member” of Victorian Artists Society”. Currently, he is the Deputy President of Australian Society of Greater China Artists and Calligraphers; member of Presidents of Pacific League of Litterateurs and Artists; Australian member of Shanghai Council for International Cultural and Arts Exchange and Co-Operation and Cultural Advisor of Australian Shanghai Chamber General; Australian Shanghai Association; Australian Suzhou Association etc. 

洪丕森

1944年出生于中国上海,1988年移民澳大利亚墨尔本。澳洲知名书画家与教育家。

中国华东师大,中央工艺美术学院装饰画教师培训班,澳洲墨尔本装饰学院,莫纳许大学,拉秋波大学毕业,获拉秋波大学艺术艺术硕士。

曾任中国苏州工艺美校(现苏州工艺美术学院)讲师,副教务长兼图书馆馆长,学校办公室副主任。1987年,教育部全国一类公派留学统考,获美术与设计教师类全国第一名,1988年根据澳中教育合作项目至墨尔本装饰学院(今墨尔本皇家理工大学设计学院)研习西方装饰艺术;同时,作中国文化艺术专题讲座。在澳洲,在墨尔本装饰学院,斯文本大学,楷模国际学校执教三十余年。

1991年, THE AGE 报有专访报道 “以艺术家的远见指导设计“,悉尼SBS电视总台也有 “东西结合”的电视专访报道。

出身教育与艺术世家,自小浸淫于文史哲与艺术,西洋画与中国书画并进。在中,澳,美,欧,亚洲多国个展十二次,联展逾百次。创作重点探索中西融合,研究中国文化与艺术对澳洲的影响,论文在中澳欧美发表与出版专著,出席国际学术会议,指导工作坊;创作与论文获奖十余次,作品为美术馆与私家收藏。名列澳洲亚裔名人录。中国院校客座教授与研究员。楷模国际学校设有“洪丕森美术奖”。

维多利亚州美术家学会第一位华人高级会员(Victorian Artists Society Signatory Member), 现为澳大利亚大中华书画总会副会长,大洋文联主席团成员等,上海中外文化艺术交流协会澳大利亚理事。澳大利亚上海会顾问,澳大利亚上海总商会顾问,澳大利亚苏州总会名誉会长等。(曾任中华艺术节秘书长,澳大利亚华星艺术团顾问,澳大利亚华人美术家协会秘书长,澳大利亚中国书法家协会创会秘书长等)。
