Movie and television actress Su Zong, originally an actress in the China Telepathy Production Centre, has depicted numerous characters with diverse personalities on screen during 1976 to 1990. Su Zong excelled as a typecast actor thanks to her physique and personality, frequently appearing in the images of children and adolescents on stage and on screen.
The TV show《Fireworm 》in which she starred as the leading role in 1981 was awarded second class prize in the China Central Television Flying Apsaras Award for the best children’s television show. In 1986, Su Zong starred as the student Xiu Xiang in the 12 episode TV show《Looking for the comeback world》which was awarded the Excellent Television Show Prize of that year. In the 1985 movie 《The girl’s building 》,produced by the August First Film Studio, Su Zong starred as the female veteran Yamei Ji, for which she won Best Supporting Actress in the 1986 Little Hundred Flowers Award.
In 1991, Su Zong immigrated to Melbourne, Australia, working in the domain of Chinese medicine. In recent years, she has returned to activities in the realms of the arts.
