Born in 1983 in Anhui, China, on the way to escape the Japanese invaders. Professor at Nanjing university (1981-2004) and Macau University of Science and Technology (2004-2010). He completed his bachelor’s degree in the School of Chinese Literature at Beijing Normal University in 1959 and master’s degree in the School of Literature at Nanjing University in 1981, majoring in Modern Literature.
He published over 160 academic papers, including monographs On Ba Jin, Science and Muses, The Difficult Meshing, The Legend of Anonymous, The Gateway to Souls, Cultural Concerns and Mysteries of Life. He is a novelist, published Sea Death, The Crystal Ball in the Beacon Fire and Birch Trees In the North, and other five novels. He also writes dramas, poems, essays, reviews and reportages with more than one million words. In 2010, he migrated to Australia.

Hi, 1938年生于安徽曹县逃避日本侵略者的途中。1959年毕业于北京师范大学中文系。1981年毕业于南京大学中文系现代文学研究生专业。当年即留任南京大学中文系,历任副教授、教授等职,2004年退休,后被澳门科技大学聘为教授任教。2010年移民澳大利亚,曾出版学术专著《巴金论》,《科学与缪斯》,《艰巨的啮合》,《无名氏传奇》,《灵魂之门》,《文化忧思与生死奥秘》等12部,出版长篇小说《海殇》,《烽火中的水晶球》,《北方的白桦树》等5部,出版学术论文、评论、及报告文学、散文、话剧、诗歌160多篇,百余万字。
